The music world beams when artists enlighten not only charts but dance floors, airwaves and speakers far and wide. Bracing big room house with a vengeance, it’s Mark and Wei-Shen of Those Usual Suspects who are captivating labels, stages and disco enthusiasts on the frequent. Mark’s the big room house driver come future pastry chef while Wei-Shen’s the lawyer, golf villain and distinct hedonist of driving house who collectively form a tenacious force. With a decade long resume both behind the console and in the studio, it’s without a doubt this house music bred duo reign in the accolades from their base nation across each and every continent.

Drawing inspiration from the likes of Axwell, Kaskade, Dirty South and Phoenix, with Wei-Shen based in Melbourne and Mark in New York, Those Usual Suspects carry passports for their tunes for miles. From day one the record label epitome shone with their first ”Dakka” on Bob Sinclar’s Africanism/Yellow Productions imprint embed airplay on Pete Tong’s Essential Selection.

The last few years have seen an uplift in the charts with “Shadows” featuring Abigail Bailey signed to US label Nervous Records climbing into the top 20 Billboard Dance Chart. In 2008, their cover of “Greece 2000” annihilated the Top 10 ARIA chart, receiving religious support from the Swedish House Mafia throughout 2009 and achieved anthem status from Miami to Ibiza. Yet it’s “Walking Alone” that menaced global ranking from Beatport top 10, DMC Buzz, UK Cool Cuts and of course the ARIA Charts. It was this tune that raised the stakes…a solid collaboration with Dirty South featuring the haunting vocals of Erik Hecht. It moved from the studio to the Swedish House Mafia’s Pete Tong Essential Takeover Essential New Tune to their “Until Now” album, while being frequently showcased on Armin’s ASOT radio show, and cemented itself in just about every EDM DJ’s playlist. Relishing in the remix world they too have had duties in the studio for Axwell, Dirty South, Bob Sinclar, Kings of Tomorrow and Ou Est Le Swimming Pool amongst others.

From Melbourne to Manhattan and Dubai to Downtown LA, Those Usual Suspects are raising the roofs wherever their tunes are heard.
